I have every sympathy for Monika. I myself was expelled from most of the schools I attended, not for any bad deeds or obstreperousness, but simply for asking awkward questions which brought steam out of the teachers heads. With Monika here it may all be a bit more complicated, because in all the excitement of life since, I have forgotten if Monika is the girl left behind, looking glum, separated from her friends forever...or is she the happy soul waving goodbye to a miserable childhood and setting off for a life-long party? |
